The Top Essentials to Make your Home a Smart Home

The smart home is a big thing right now but if you want to make your house a smart house.

1. Smart thermostat

A smart thermostat is basically a thermostat connected to wifi that has multiple features and some can connect through an app on your smartphone. They are not always nest thermostat there are more out there. A smart thermostat would be helpful to use a smartphone and put the thermostat to a right degree before you get home from work, school, or just busy for the day, you can come home and rest from a busy day.

2. Smart vacuum

The smart vacuum is perfect when you busy and you don't have that much time to clean around your house. You can set up as scheduled for it so when you are out you can have a clean floor when you get home. Some of them have a remote so you can control it while you are at home.

3. Smart Lock

A smart lock is connected through the internet and can be used with the smartphone app. To get in to the the house you can use the app or if you have a power outage you have to use your key. Some of them just uses Bluetooth and you can open the door that way but I recommend to keep your old key with you.

4. Smart light bulbs

This is an option but you can if you want to. You can connect these light bulbs to the wifi and control them with your smartphone.

HOW TO: How to Make your Android Device Look and Fell Like Pure Android Kitkat

Google made Android so you can make customization's to your own smartphone. Even if a OEM has put a user interface over it, like touchwiz, you can still make customization's to the phone. Here, I will show you how to make your Android device look and feel like pure Android 4.4 Kitkat.

1. Google keyboard

Google put the keyboard that they put on all of the nexus devices and all of the Google Play Edition devices on the Google play store. The cool thing about Google putting their keyboard on the play store is that when Google comes out with a new version of Android, Google updates the app and gets the same features the pure Android devices gets. That includes the swipe feature and the emoji support too.

2. Google Hangouts

After Google released the new version of Android the primary texting app is Hangouts and Google also said that they would release an update that says in the description their is SMS and MMS support for Android version 4.0 and higher. This makes it easier for people who uses both hangouts and they text they have one app to go to. This only available on Android smartphones 4.0 and higher so even if you downloaded it on your phone and you want to read your texts from a tablet and/or computer you can't do that. Make sure when you installed the app make sure you go to the settings, SMS, and turn on the SMS capabilities.

3. Google Now

This is easy, all you just need to do for this part is to make sure Google Now is updated to the latest version. This will be a lot of help later.

4. Google Now launcher

I have already did a blog post of this but to install this you need to go in to your settings, security, and check install from unknown sources. Here is the launcher click here

The new Cricket Wireless

Cricket and aio wireless are joining forces and Cricket are making big changes to their network. One of the changes is the instead of CDMA like they used changed to 4G GSM so that means they had to change the devices they used to they kept the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhones but they are GSM and all the new GSM phones are from aio wireless and you can bring your own compatible device now. I recommend to get a phone with Cricket before March of 2015, that is when they are killing of their old CDMA phones. Cricket is now an AT&T company and AT&T killed of aio wireless so it is just Cricket now so that is why all of the aio wireless phone are on Cricket. Oh, if you are on Cricket and you want a windows phone the Nokia Lumia 520 is on cricket and any unlocked phone GSM phone will work with a Cricket SIM card.
